Water Systems and Hydraulics
Lakeview Hights Water System
Lakeview Heights is a privately funded subdivision on the south shore of Roosevelt Lake in Lincoln County. Munson Engineers was responsible for developing a comprehensive water system plan which included applying for and obtaining water right permits from the Department of Ecology. Munson also designed the wells, pump houses, reservoir, water transmission mains, water distribution mains for approval by the Department of Health and developed water quality testing procedures for the water system, and operation and maintenance requirements. Currently the client has asked Munson Engineers to develop a water system that can distribute water to residences at a higher elevation than the current water reservoir. Munson Engineers, Inc. was also responsible for surveying, and site and utility design for the sub development.
Roosevelt Lake Ranch Water System
Roosevelt Lake Ranch is a major subdivision located in Lincoln County overlooking Lake Roosevelt. Munson Engineers, Inc. designed a new municipal water system including comprehensive planning, well specifications, telemetry and switch gears. MEI was also responsible for surveying and plat design.
Blue Lake Summer Homes Water System
The Blue Lake Summer Homes Water System was an old pre-war system serving a community in the Sun Lakes area of Grant County. The well became contaminated and the distribution system deteriorated. The project required funding by the Rural Utility Service of Farm and Home Administration, permit for a new well in a different location, and complete replacement of the system including well, pump house, transmission and distribution mains, services, hydrants, and reservoir.
Wilson Creek Water System
Funding for this project came from a Community Development Block Grant which was solicited and applied for by Munson Engineers. The company specified drilling requirements for a new well and well pump switch gear, abandonment at the old well, designed a new pump house, new reservoirs, transmission system, and distribution system for a system that had repeatedly failed to achieve minimum water quality standards.
